Road Trip!

Today Allison and I took the kids on a road trip to Target! They were both so good the whole way there and while we were in the store. On the way back, they were very sleepy and Allison and I did everything we could to keep them from falling asleep. We sang songs such as "The Wheels on the Bus", "The more we get together" (with signs), "This little light of mine", and many more. Allison did a great job giving them food and playing with them while I ever-so-carefully drove the precious cargo. Then, my gas light when on when we were on the stretch to La Conchita, no gas stations for a while! So we made a quick little stop in Carp. We made it home safely and both kids are sleeping as I write this!

Santa Clause Beach!

Zaden's new favorite thing to do is go to the beach. He can spend hours and hours just playing in the sand and water. He loves to crawl down to the water and let the waves crash on him. He just crawls right for the waves, no fear! We spent all weekend at the beach last weekend. When I drive by the beach, Zaden now gets all excited because he thinks we are going to the beach. When he realizes that we aren't going to the beach, he gets sad. Yeah for the beach. You know where to find me all summer!

Yee Haw!

Zaden loves to be naked! But the cowboy hat added some flare!

Isa's little run!

So, as some of you know, I have been "training" for a half marathon. I had a little over 1 month to train for this 21K! aka half marathon (13.1 miles). So anyways, it was a very sporadic training. One of the weeks, I was sick, so no training, then I re-injured an old injury, so another week of no training. It's kinda hard to train consistently when you are stuck with a kid all day. So, back to the event. We, Frankie, Zaden, and I arrived at 6:15am. That gave me time to stretch and get my nerves out in the lovely outhouses, along with everyone else. The line was huge for the out houses. 2500 people ran in this race! And let me just tell you, what a rush! It was very challenging at times, but very rewarding! It felt like a great accomplishment! When you are out in the middle of cows and feilds and are faced with several miles of hills to run, a lot goes through your mind. At one point, I thought that it would be better to be in labor with no drugs than to be running hills forever. But then I thought, hey, if I can push a baby out naturally, then I can do this run and push through my aching knees, back, and hip. Sp, long story short, I completed the run and ran through that FINISH line! I gave it my all when I saw that finish line. What a great feeling. I completed all 13.1 miles/ 21K of running in 2:09:13! That's an average of a little over 9.6 minutes per mile! I am proud of myself! Yeah for me! So, I can't wait for my next running event! Who wants to join me? There is a half marathon Nov. 1st!
Oh, by the way, the girl with the short hair is Suzy, Kyle's wife. She ran it too.

Party Hats!

Zaden loves his party hats. Ever since his first birthday, when I bought party hats for his party, he loves to wear party hats. Fortunately we had a few extras. I have them scattered throughout his toys, and when he finds one, he brings it to me to put on his head. The elastic is very tight under his chin, but he doesn't seem to mind!

Beach Day!

We went to Butterfly Beach last weekend! Zaden loved the sand, the water, the dogs. Everything! He got a little pink thought, even with 50 spf on! Such a whitey!
